This seminar is for you.

Cory Silkman, Esq., JD, MAR, BSN, RN will review the basics of divorce law in Maryland. This 45 minute talk will give you key points on how divorce works, what you are entitled too, and how to proceed. You will have time at the end for questions. However, please note he can not give specific advice for any particular case during this session.

About Cory Silkman

Cory Silkman, Esq., JD, MAR, BSN, RN, is a Maryland nurse attorney. He specializes in divorce law and professional license protection.

Mr. Silkman is recognized by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel.
He handles both complicated and basic divorce cases.

He has also represented over four hundred advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, physicians, physician assistants, social workers, professional counselors, and other healthcare providers and corporate entities in various legal matters.

Prior to starting his own law firm in 2017, Mr. Silkman was a medical malpractice and professional license defense attorney at a Tydings and Rosenberg, LLP. Before transitioning to law, he worked as a nurse manager, clinical leader, director of nursing, and staff nurse at several prominent hospitals and long-term care organizations in Maryland.

Education

Mr. Silkman earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland, one of the top fifty law schools in the country.  He also graduated with distinction from Yale University with a Master of Arts in Religion in Philosophical Theology and Philosophy of Religion.  In 1999, he graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Messiah College.

Ms. Silkman has published peer-reviewed articles in nursing journals, and has presented on the national stage in various legal matters.  He is also a Director on the Board of Directors at Edenwald, a continuing care retirement community in Towson, Maryland.
