Jendayi Gantt, CNM, MSN, PMHNP-BC

I have worked in women’s health nursing for 17 years. I understand the importance of quality patient care; focusing on both physical and emotional needs of my clients.

I attended the University of Maryland School of Nursing for both my Bachelors in Nursing (2003) and Masters in Nursing as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (2007).  After many years working in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, serving patients from various backgrounds, in and out of the US,  I recognized a disconnect between medical and emotional support. Women can have significant difficulty in finding a mental health provider to assist with the delicate challenges we face concerning relationships, motherhood, and life stage transitions. I felt a deep calling to help increase access for women’s mental health care, therefore, I decided to return to school to earn my post-master’s certificate from the George Washington University School of Nursing (2018),

I now am also a board certified family psychiatric nurse practitioner, and am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Nursing. My research focus is on perinatal mood disorders, in efforts to improve the quality of care for pregnant and postpartum mothers suffering from various forms of anxiety and depression.

I am very excited to become a part of the Nurtured Well, LLC team and look forward to developing shared decision based plans of care with you, my client and clinical partner.

*Please note that Jendayi is available for psychiatric evaluation and medication management on Saturdays!*
